Spectacular 3-week trekking in the Makalu Barun National Park

In October 2016, I did a spectacular 3-week trekking in the Makalu Barun National Park, starting in Tumlingtar, Arun Valley, GHT, Makalu Base Camp, Barun Valley to end back in Tumlingtar.

Best Nepal Trekking organised the whole adventure including a perfect Hotel in Kathmandu, flight, jeep and porters.  My guide, Chhiree Sherpa was not only extremely competent and knowledgeable, but he has super karma. He knows the whole area extremely well and his English is excellent.

I had already had quite some exposure to trekkings in Nepal, including, Kanchenjunga, Mustang, Annapurna Valley, Everest/Gokyo and Dolpo, but this was the icing on the cake and Chhiree made it all happen.

My sixth time trekking in Nepal with this company !

Chhiree and this team are totally professional trekking guide and expedition organizer. Chhiree guided me to Mera Peak, Gokyo/Chola pass, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang and Ganja La and many other scenic Himalayan destinations in the past 10 years. They know local conditions so well that is very important to ensure safety in the mountains and provide very useful information for their customers. Chhiree is a very nice person to get along with, willing to share a lot of his experiences and interesting stories in mountains that even make the trip more enjoyable. Besides professionalism, I also appreciate they care about the porters and eco sustainability during trekking in mountains. I believe that is the difference compared with many other guides and organizers in Nepal.
